Monday, July 6
5:43 a.m. Milton K. Smith, 54, 220 N. Main St., Brockton was charged with simple assault after a man at the Good Samaritan Hospital’s emergency room stated he was assaulted and knows who did it.

11:28 a.m. Lenise Turner, 39, 158 Lisa Dr., Brockton was charged with assault after a domestic violence disturbance called by a West Elm Terrace resident.

6:07 p.m. A caller from Highland and Newbury street reports a pitbull attacked a woman.

8:27 p.m. Jose Diaz, 22, 9 Union Court, Brockton was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after a caller reported her boyfriend threw a bottle of lotion at her and took off down the street.

10:01 p.m. Samantha Guarino, 18, 30 Lyman Place, Bridgewater was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after a caller near Ames Road and Earley Street reported Guarino hit a friend with her car and is circling the area.
Sunday, July 5
12:24 a.m. Two Brockton men were arrested and charged with stabbing someone at the Brockton Fairgrounds. Charged were: Tayvin T. Burton, 19, 19 Burton St., Brockton and Jonathan Badgett, 17, 17 Greenfield St., Brockton. The men face charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, armed assault to murder and assault and battery.

12:25 a.m. Three people were charged with disturbing the peace after an incident at the Brockton Fairgrounds. Charged were a 16-year-old juvenile; Khiry Carter, 18, 6 Roel St., Randolph; and Eric Marques, 18, 73 Emmet St., Brockton.

12:26 a.m. Brockton Hospital reported a 29-year-old woman came to the emergency room with a gunshot wound to the arm she received at a cookout in Brockton. The woman was transported to Boston Medical Center.

12:41 a.m. Jonathan Bonilla, 25, 129 Highland St., Brockton was charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering after a pregnant woman calling from Forest Avenue reported a neighbor kicked in her door.

1:34 a.m. Police are investigating the report of the rape of an 18-year-old woman. The woman reported she was walking by the Burger King after the fair and a male pulled up beside her, took her cell phone and raped her. The woman was transported to Brockton Hospital’s emergency room for an examination.

1:39 a.m. Sherri Hampton, 36, 692 N. Montello St., Brockton was charged with two counts of assault and battery after a call from Hamilton Street reporting a domestic violence problem.

3:17 a.m. Adam Chaplin, 21, 4606 Winterbrook Lane, Orlando, Florida was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Police responded to a call near Pinehurst Avenue that reported a fight between Chaplin and another man. The caller reported the house is ransacked, blood on the floor and a broken knife in the house.
Brockton Hospital reported at 3:20 a.m. that the other man walked into the emergency room with multiple stab wounds and is stable. The man told hospital officials he was stabbed near the hospital.

3:41 a.m. Anthony Christian, 47, 10 Malvern Road, Brockton was charged with assault and battery after a caller reported her husband beat and hit her in the head and then locked her outside and is still in the house on Malvern Road.

6:33 a.m. Bernard Fox, 41, 62 Tremont St., Brockton was charged with assault and battery after a caller reported he was assaulted outside Joe Angelo’s Café.

8:19 a.m. The priest at St. Edith Stein Church on N. Main Street found two Molatov cocktails and reported an arson attempt.
9:40 a.m. Darrin Pelland, 20, 12 Dunham St., Brockton was charged with trespass after Our Lady of Sorrows on Thatcher Street reported a male party sleeping in back of the convent.

2:16 p.m. Two men were charged with larceny over $250 after a caller from Chatham West Drive reported the theft of two pitbull puppies and a $2,300 surround sound stereo system. Charged were: Steven Taylor, 20, 104 Oak Lane, Brockton and Steven Delancey, 41, 104 Oak Lane, Brockton.

3:04 p.m. A Brockton man and a Hanson woman were charged with unarmed robbery after a patron at the Lithuanian Village Café at Intervale and Ames streets reported being assaulted. Charged were Robert Joseph Oliveira Jr., 45, 114 Oak Lane, Brockton and Kimberly Kately, 49, 102 Milford St., Hanson.

3:44 p.m. Two Brockton men were charged with felony breaking and entering in the daytime when a caller on Appleton Street reported two young Hispanic or Portuguese males entering an abandoned house. Charged were Matthew Phillip Pires, 18, 36 Appleton St. and Anibal Pires, 19, 18 Crowell St.

6:23 p.m. Ryan Murphy, 35, 140 Auburn St., Bridgewater was charged with larceny over $250 after Macy’s on Westgate Drive reported a shoplifter.
Saturday, July 4
7:29 p.m. Police and firefighters confiscated fireworks and novelty toys from Henry Gardner, 15 Suffolk Ave., Pawtucket, R.I. Taken by officials were: 29 George Washington assortment packs; 40 champagne pops, 152 boxes of snap pops; and 109 fart bags.
Officials took the fireworks and novelty fart bags because Gardner did not have a license to hawk or peddle the items. The fireworks, officials reported, were identified as class C fireworks under the state Fire Marshal’s regulations and were confiscated.

7:54 p.m. Andre A. Smith, 28, 1392 Bay St., Springfield was charged with disturbing the peace and interfering with a firefighter after a disturbance on Malvern Road.

9:08 p.m. Police intend to criminally charge a Lynn Road homeowner for illegal possession of fireworks after police received a call from the fire department about a huge display of fireworks. The State Police bomb squad was called in because of the incident.
Friday, July 3
12:56 a.m. Denise Webby, 42, 537 Pine Grove Dr., Brockton was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery and malicious destruction of property over $250 after a Lyon Avenue caller reported his girlfriend was going nuts with a baseball bat and tearing up the apartment.

11:14 a.m. Joao F. Goncalves, 33, 160 Laureston St., Brockton was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs after a caller reported a man in a green Dodge Intrepid was passed out behind the wheel of the car near Belmont Street and Forest Avenue.

3:20 p.m. Thomas Tommy Culbert III, 17, 44 Chatham West Dr., Brockton was charged with larceny under $250 after a caller reported he had been robbed near Oak Street and Campanelli Drive by a black male wearing a black shirt and a chain with dog tags who had gone into Toys ‘R Us.

4:36 p.m. Veronica Copeland, 46, 832 Centre St., Brockton was charged with trying to pass a fake prescription after police received a call from Walgreen’s on Centre Street.

6:19 p.m. Christopher P. Foley, 39, 21 Payton Court, Brockton was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and threat to commit a crime after police received a call from Payton Court that a tenant in a second floor apartment was destroying the apartment.

6:36 p.m. Two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old were charged with shoplifting after loss prevention services at WalMart on Oak Street reported fighting with a shoplifter.

6:51 p.m. Rivarol F. Emile, 24, 25 Columbia St., Brockton was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of assault and battery after a caller reported her husband hit her.

7:36 p.m. Angel Lema, 23, 414 Montello St., Brockton was charged with drunk driving, open container of alcohol in a vehicle and driving without a license after a three-car accident near Battles Farm Drive.

9:31 p.m. Robert Fleming, 22, 59 Foster St., Brockton was charged with threat to commit a crime after police received a call from a woman who said her boyfriend threatened to shoot her. No gun was shown.
